Festbier – How To Brew Beer

When you think of Oktoberfest – at least here in the US – you think of beer with an amber color. But the most popular festival beer in Germany is, fittingly the lighter and easier to drink Festbier.

Recipe:
9 lbs 8.0 oz Pilsner; German
1 lbs 8.0 oz Munich Type I
8.0 oz Victory Malt
1.50 oz Hallertauer Pellets – Boil 60.0 min
1.50 oz Hallertauer Pellets – Boil 5.0 min
1.0 pkg Munich Lager (Wyeast Labs #2308)

Mash at 152F for 60 mins
Boil for 60 mins
