Aged rum at home in just 30 minutes

The original mai tai (according to Trader Vic) was made with 17-year-old Wray & Nephew rum. They don’t make that rum anymore. Can we reproduce this by aging unaged Wray & Nephew white overproof rum at home…without the wait?
